I like the idea of decorating a house one room at a time. It’s easy on the budget and faster to implement. Your advise to create decorating plans for each room is also practical. Yes and a good thing to remember in the decorating budget is you can’t predict the total cost. It’s good to have a “cushion” of 10 to 20% because unexpected costs usually arise.

Hi,
I like your angle on this - actually if decorating on a budget is what is required, then a tip is; many stone fabricators dispose of unwanted stone - offcuts etc.. this stone can be either purchased for a low cost or even obtained for free!
It’s a useful money saving tip for anyone that is less bothered about colour matches - a good example of use that could be applied here are offcut stone; granite and marble being used for crazy pavements!
